Dave Wagner

Dave was born and raised in Minneapolis and currently resides in Apache Junction, AZ. He started performing professionally at 15. He received two best Male Lead Vocalist awards in Minnesota in the late 60’s. He was Inducted into MN (2005), Iowa (2009), the South Dakota (2016) Rock and Roll Hall of Fames, and recently the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame in 2024. He started out playing bass with a band called The Aardvarks and then started the band JOKERS WILD and moved on to lead singing. In 1967 he started with the SOUTH 40 and then, in 1969, CROW. After that he sang with WHISKEY RIVER for 5 years before joining Crow again. When not with Crow, he has a band called the JACK DANIELS BAND that he does a few dates and also solo shows through out the winter months in Arizona.

Jeff (Boday) Christensen

Jeff is from Red Wing, Minnesota and graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1970. He attended Inver Hills Jr College 1970 to 1971 and started playing professionally in 1966. He was guitarist for the popular Midwest Band "Jesse Brady" that penned the Minnesota Music Awards hit song of the year "Souvenirs" in 1981. He was staff Guitarist at Pilhofer Music in Minneapolis, Minnesota from 1993 to 1996. He received the Semi-Finalist Award for the Jimi Hendrix Electric Guitar Competition, presented by the Jimi Hendrix Family Foundation in 1996. He was inducted into the South Dakota Rock n Roll Music Hall of Fame in 2016. He has had considerable success in the Jazz/ Smooth Jazz market with the release of 4 CDs under the title of "Boday" from 1997 to 2007. His latest release is “Bodaylicious Guitar” (2024). His music can be heard on Music Choice, Pandora, Sirius Radio and Internet Radio daily. He currently plays with Crow and the Lisa Wenger Band, based in Minneapolis, St Paul, Minnesota.

Dave (Kink) Middlemist

Dave (Kink) was born in Minneapolis, MN and graduated from Henry High School in 1965. He attended Brown College (Institute) for Electronics & Broadcasting and also Globe Business College. He then joined Jokers Wild in 1966 & met Dave Wagner who was the keyboard player at the time. Dave wanted to focus on vocals so he played guitar/keyboards. In 1967 he joined Dave, Dick & Larry Wiegand and Harry Nehls (from the Rave-Ons) to form South 40. South 40 released 1 LP in 1968 called “Live At Someplace Else”. He was inducted (with CROW) into the Minnesota Rock/Country Hall of Fame in 2005, The Iowa Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2009, the South Dakota Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 and Minnesota Music Hall of Fame in 2024. In the early 1990’s he also played with a 10-piece horn band called “Under Suspicion” in Minneapolis.

Larry Wiegand

Larry is a Bass Guitar/vocalist from Minneapolis, Minnesota and graduated from Richfield High School in 1965. He attended University of Minnesota and Globe Business College 1965-69 and started playing professionally in 1962. He won 2 “Connie” Awards in 1968 (Best New Band) and 1970 (Songwriting…“Evil Woman” with Crow). Nominated for 4 Minnesota Music Awards (Bass Guitar) 1981 to 1990. He was inducted into the Minnesota Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2005, Iowa Rock n Roll Music Hall of Fame in 2009, the South Dakota Rock n Roll Music Hall of Fame in 2016, the Minnesota Blues Society Hall of Fame in 2018 and the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame in 2024. He has toured all over North America and Canada with Crow, Corey Stevens, Bobby Vee, The Fabulous Flippers, Pacific Gas & Electric and many more. He was staff Bassist at RCA Records in Los Angeles 1974 - 1977. Black Sabbath and Tina Turner have covered his songs and he released his own “Sessions” CD in 2016. He currently plays with Crow and the Lisa Wenger Band, based in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Minnesota.

Norm Steffen

Norm was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and started playing professionally in 1970. He toured throughout the United States and Canada from 1979 - 1984 with the country-rock band Whiskey River. This is also where I met Dave Wagner and has been performing with him ever since. He has also been drumming for Corey Stevens, a Los Angeles based blues-rock guitarist, since 2003. Recordings include 'Whiskey River’ (Whiskey River - recorded in Nashville, 1980-81), ‘One Way Ticket’ (L & S Express - recorded in Minneapolis - 1997), ‘Aint Got Time To Change’ (the Mighty Roostas - recorded in St. Paul, 2001), Myth Live (Corey Stevens - a double live CD recorded in Maplewood, MN - 2005), one track on ‘Before the Storm’ (Dave Wagner - recorded in Hudson, WI - 2007), ‘Fly’ (Buddy Kahle - recorded in Minneapolis - 2010). He was honored to be inducted into the Minnesota Rock/Country Hall of Fame in 2008 with Whiskey River, the Iowa Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame in 2009, the South Dakota Rock Hall of Fame in 2016 and the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame in 2024.

Gregg Inhofer

Gregg Inhofer is an American singer-songwriter, pianist, and vocalist. His music combines a wide variety of influences, including rock, R'n'B, and jazz. He has played a significant role in the Minneapolis music scene throughout his career and is a member of the Minnesota Rock and Country Music Hall of Fame. Most notably he played keyboards on Bob Dylan’s album “Blood on the Tracks”, which ranked number 16 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time". Gregg is also a current member of Joey Molland’s Badfinger.

Lisa Wenger

Born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1992. Lisa has performed as a beloved staple of the Minneapolis/St. Paul music scene for many years.  Her appeal is broad enough to entertain a variety of crowds, and she wins them all over, be it at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, the famous Surf Ballroom, the Bitter End in NYC, the Hard Rock in Vegas, or at BB Kings in Orlando on the blues circuit.  Lisa has shared the stage with celebrities like Jim Belushi, Robert Cray, Leon Russel, Pinetop Perkins, Delbert McClinton, as well has recorded back-up vocals for many artists, including singer/ songwriter Bruce McCabe (Jonny Lang).
Wenger’s self released albums include “Can’t Stop the Girl” (2008),“Publicly” Raw (2010), and "Simple As That" (2014).  Lisa started singing with CROW in 2016. Lisa's website is at www.lisawenger.com

Mel Gilbert

Legacy artist and Crow singer Melody Gilbert passed away in 2023. Throughout her remarkable life, she captivated numerous hearts with her vibrant spirit and extraordinary talent, and we were blessed to have her for a while!
